At Pig & Pie Pantry, we believe some of the best things happen when people gather around a table, learn something new, and share a little good food along the way.
As part of our commitment to the communities that have supported us, we’re proud to volunteer our time with the Johnstown and Milliken Libraries, where we teach free, hands-on baking classes for our neighbors. From learning the basics of sourdough starter and bread baking to rolling out dough and creating a homemade pie from scratch, our classes are designed to make baking feel approachable, fun, and something anyone can do at home.
We love having the opportunity to share what we’ve learned, answer questions, and help new bakers gain the confidence to get into the kitchen and give it a try. More than anything, these classes are another way for us to connect with the wonderful community we’re lucky to call home.
Resources for Our Students
Been to one of our classes—or just ready to start baking at home? We’ve gathered some of our favorite tools and resources below to help you along the way. From kitchen essentials to the sourdough gadgets we use and recommend, these are the items we turn to in our own kitchens and share with our students.
Happy baking!
Deb & Sarah
